The chat asks for your idea, where it stands, what you need, your name and your email. While you type, it reads your idea in your own browser to sketch a first plan. Nothing leaves your device until you press “Send it”.

Then your answers come to our inbox, and we use them to reply to you and talk about the work. That is the only use. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement, and our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us (GDPR article 6(1)(b) and (f)).

The same goes for anything you email us directly, including job applications.

Like every website, our host receives your IP address and basic browser details to deliver the pages, keep the site secure and stop spam. These technical logs are deleted automatically after a short time. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe site (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).

We use no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and the site sets no cookies.

The site remembers which version you chose under “Who are you?”, so you come back to the same one, and a few display choices for the visit. This is kept in your browser’s own storage. It never reaches us, it is not used to follow you, and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time.

• Vercel Inc. hosts the site and runs the form.
• Resend, Inc. delivers what you send through the form to our inbox.
• Google (Google Workspace) runs our email.

Each works only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement. Where data is handled outside the EU and EEA, it is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We never sell your data or share it with anyone else.

We keep your enquiry while we are talking with you. If no work comes of it, we delete it within 12 months. If we work together, it becomes part of that work and is kept for as long as the law requires.

You can ask to see the data we have about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to limit how we use it, to object to its use, or to get a copy to take elsewhere. Write to inquiry@vergence.studio and we will answer within a month.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
